With 'Global Vision Info-Action Exchanges'

“You see, the Sustainable Development Goals are as meaningful in Canada as they are everywhere else in the world. And we are committed to implementing them at home while we also work with our international partners to achieve them around the world.”
Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada
at the 2017 UN General Assembly in New York City

Introduction — The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — adopted by all UN Member States in 2015 — can be seen as an inter-connected circle [Figure A] encompassing everything that it takes — and will take — to achieve a healthy, civilized and prosperous world everywhere. These 17 SDGs apply to everyone at all levels — from personal to global [Figure B] and from children to seniors.
Problem — The SDGs were adopted worldwide. But stories featuring these SDGs have yet to be widely shared. Most citizens of UN Member States have yet to appreciate the SDGs for themselves and their nation.
Solution — Worldwide media, including social media, are the critical path for sharing ‘why’ these SDGs are so important and the ‘how to’ achieve them —at all levels [Figure C]. Today, with social media’s powerful impact — from personal to global levels — there is both a challenge and an opportunity for circles of citizens — to engage in families and small groups — to work at adopting these ‘global goals’ in their nations and villages.
