Toward telling the 'Nightingale Story' in support of nurses and health worldwide...
Our 'Nightingale Story' project is developed to engage and support worldwide celebration and participation in the 2020 Bicentenary Year of Florence Nightingale's birth—and for the years and decades beyond.
Spearheaded by NIGH and completely aligned with our noble mission, our multi-media project seizes the opportunity to tell the epic story of Florence Nightingale—while educating and engaging audiences about the critical role of nurses in the world—as well as addressing current urgent issues of global health. This project includes developing a documentary, a multi-season TV Series, and an independent feature-length film — proposed to be named 'Legacy of Light' — as well as an engaging TransMedia Campaign to promote NIGH's 2020 Vision. |
All of these storytelling tools will assist in crafting a compelling narrative with universal appeal and draw audiences into action regarding their role to improve global health.
This project is endorsed by the International Council of Nurses (ICN), the Commonwealth Nurses and Midwives Federation, the Florence Nightingale Museum London, the Florence Nightingale Foundation also in London, UK, the Watson Caring Science Institute and many other 'Supporters' now in progress.
