DIONNE SINCLAIR, MScN, MCHM, RN, CHE, IDI LLC

Dionne Sinclair is currently the Multi-Site Director of Diversity and Cultural Advancement with Southlake Regional Health Centre and Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital. In this new role, Dionne focuses on identifying gaps and developing strategies to create more just and equitable workplaces. She has a passion for change in the areas of culturally competent leadership and is focusing on diversity in health care leadership during her PHD studies. Dionne is a member of the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) Black Nurses task force and is a founding member of the Canadian Black Nurses Network. Reporting directly to the CEOs of both hospitals, Dionne is working with all levels of leadership to develop an enterprise-wide framework, with recommendations tailored to each organization. As a Certified Healthcare Executive, Dionne's previous leadership roles include; Clinical Director of the Medicine Program at Southlake Regional Hospital, Director of Home and Community Care Planning and Strategy for the North West Local Health Integration Network (LHIN), and the Manager of Mental Health and Addictions at Humber River Hospital. Dionne is also a mother of three beautiful girls and an entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and an award-winning fitness professional.
Dionne has served the NIGH as an Advisor since 2008 and  we are pleased and privileged to be featuring her highly relevant work to inform and inspire cultural inclusion, diversity, equity and justice!
