Sue Kim, RN, PhD, is Professor at Yonsei University, College of Nursing, and has served as Director of the WHO Collaborating Center for Research and Training for Nursing Development in Primary Health Care, Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea from 2013 to 2020.
As a women’s health expert and qualitative researcher, Dr. Kim’s area of research includes cancer survivorship, self-care and family adjustment in women’s cancers, and maternal/women’s health nursing. Dr. Kim is an active member of national and international professional organizations, including Sigma International Honor Society of Nursing, where she is a Virginia Henderson Fellow, the Korean Council of Science Editors, and the Korean Psycho-Oncology Society, to name a few. She has also served in advisory roles for government agencies, such as the Presidential Committee on Ageing Society and Population Policy, and the Korea Health Personnel Licensing Examination Institute. In 2021, in collaboration with her colleague, Dr. Sung Hee Choi, PhD, MA (English literature), MA (Translation Studies), she shared the Korean translation of the Nightingale Declaration — “건강한 세상을 위한 나이팅게일 선언” with NIGH. |
